A brief description and prevention techniques
What is a Backdoor Trojan?
A backdoor refers to any method by which authorized and unauthorized users are able to get around normal security measures and gain high level user access on a computer system, network or software application. A Backdoor Trojan utilizes this access to hijack devices, steal personal information and install malware on your system.
Backdoor Trojans can come in many forms like an email attachment, file download or in disguise as a legitimate software that, once downloaded, doesn’t actually perform the service it should and instead opens a backdoor on your system and infects it with a virus or uses a worm-like ability to replicate itself and spread to other systems.
