Historically, the platform was hosted on local on-premises infrastructure. While the system served the organization well for many years, the environment began presenting operational challenges as infrastructure aged and maintenance requirements increased.
Server hardware warranties were approaching expiration, raising concerns about long-term reliability and potential downtime. Supporting multiple locations from a single on-premises environment also introduced operational complexity, particularly when ensuring secure access for staff across facilities.

The cloud architecture was built within a secure virtual network environment using Amazon VPC, providing controlled network segmentation and secure connectivity for application services. The system was migrated to Windows-based workloads hosted on Amazon EC2, enabling the organization to maintain compatibility with the existing application while benefiting from the scalability and resilience of cloud infrastructure.
Secure remote access capabilities were implemented to allow authorized staff across multiple locations to connect to the application environment using encrypted remote desktop protocols.
